Vertiv Holdings Co (NYSE:VRT) has been named to a list of the top 12 dividend stocks favored by billionaire investor Cliff Asness. The stock also received a rating upgrade from GLJ Research analyst Austin Wang on June 18. Wang moved his recommendation on Vertiv from Sell to Hold, citing a major development from a key partner.
The analyst highlighted a recent breakthrough by CoolIt, a company that provides liquid cooling technology. Coolit introduced a new 15kW cold plate, which Wang sees as a strong signal for Vertiv's long-term growth. He believes this innovation supports the company's ability to meet rising demand for data center cooling solutions, especially as artificial intelligence workloads increase power and thermal requirements.
Wang's upgrade suggests that the risks he previously saw in Vertiv's stock are now more balanced. The new cooling technology from CoolIt could help Vertiv capture more market share in the high-performance computing space. While the analyst stopped short of a full Buy rating, the shift from Sell to Hold marks a notable change in sentiment. Investors are watching to see if this partnership will drive revenue growth and improve Vertiv's competitive position in the coming quarters.
