John Deere Financial and AgVend have teamed up to offer 0% and low rate financing options for crop inputs directly within retail quotes. The program allows growers to lock in favorable terms at the point of purchase, simplifying how they manage seasonal expenses.
Purchases made this fall can run to November 2027, giving farmers an extended window to pay for seed, fertilizer, and other critical inputs without immediate pressure on cash flow. The lender says it is positioning this financing against operating lines that currently carry rates above 7%, a difference that could save producers significant money as borrowing costs remain elevated across the agricultural sector.
The integration with AgVend means retailers can present financing options alongside product pricing in a single quote, removing the need for separate applications or back and forth with lenders. For many operations, that streamlined process could make it easier to compare total costs and decide what works best for their budget.
High interest rates have squeezed margins for row crop farmers dealing with softer commodity prices and rising input expenses. Offering zero percent or reduced rate terms on inputs gives growers a way to spread out payments without absorbing the full weight of conventional credit costs.
The two companies frame the arrangement as a practical tool for planning ahead. By building financing into the retail quote itself, they aim to help farmers secure what they need for the coming season while keeping their operating lines available for other needs.
