RADNOR, Pa., October 1, 2026--Lincoln Financial has successfully completed its significant reinsurance transaction with Talcott Financial Group, effective today. This deal, valued at $6.3 billion, involves the reinsurance of approximately $5.8 billion in in-force guaranteed universal life statutory reserves. This move represents around 37 percent of Lincoln's remaining in-force GUL block.
The transaction aims to enhance Lincoln Financial's capital position and provide greater financial flexibility. It allows the company to focus on its core operations while transferring a substantial portion of its GUL liabilities to Talcott.
